These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PoliRank's websites, mobile applications, and other online products and services (collectively, the "Services"). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms, which form a binding legal agreement between you and PoliRank.
Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not understand or agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our Services. Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, which are incorporated by reference.
Important Notice
These Terms contain provisions that govern how claims between us are resolved, including an arbitration agreement, which will, with limited exceptions, require disputes between us to be submitted to binding and final arbitration. Unless you opt out, you will only be permitted to pursue claims against PoliRank on an individual basis, and you waive your right to participate in any class action against us.

You are responsible for any activity that occurs through your account and agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account or any other breach of security.

We reserve the right to disable any user account if, in our opinion, you have violated any provision of these Terms of Service.
Privacy & Data Protection

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage.

User Content & Conduct

You retain ownership of all content you submit, post, or display on PoliRank, but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, and distribute such content for the purposes of operating and improving our services.

You agree not to post content that violates our Community Guidelines, including but not limited to content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

You agree not to use our platform to impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to remove or refuse to distribute any content that violates these terms or our Community Guidelines, or that we otherwise find objectionable.

We may preserve content and account information when we believe in good faith that preservation is necessary for purposes such as legal compliance, fraud prevention, or enforcement of our terms.
Identity Verification

PoliRank uses identity verification processes to ensure the integrity of our platform, particularly for constituent reviews of political representatives.

You agree to provide accurate information during the verification process. Misrepresentation of your identity or constituency status is grounds for account termination.

We use secure, industry-standard protocols to verify your identity while protecting your privacy. Verification data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Verified status may be revoked if we discover information was falsified or if you change constituencies. You may be required to re-verify your account periodically.
Intellectual Property

The PoliRank platform, including all associated features, content, and materials, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not modify, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works or adaptations of, publicly display or in any way exploit any of our content in whole or in part except as expressly authorized by us.

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact our copyright agent as described in our Copyright Policy.

By submitting ideas, suggestions, documents, or proposals to us, you grant us an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, modify, publish, or otherwise implement those ideas without restriction.
Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our services if you violate these Terms of Service or our Community Guidelines.

You may terminate your account at any time by following the instructions in the account settings. Some information may remain in our systems after account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.

Upon termination, your right to use our services will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time, including but not limited to repeated violations of our terms or guidelines.
Data Retention & Deletion

You can request deletion of your personal data at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team.

Upon receiving a deletion request, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except for information that we are required to retain for legal, administrative, or security purposes.

Anonymized and aggregated data derived from your usage may be retained for analytical purposes even after account deletion.
•
Reviews and ratings you've submitted to the platform may remain after account deletion with personally identifying information removed, to maintain the integrity of representative ratings.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
POLIRANK DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES ARE ERROR FREE OR THAT ACCESS THERETO WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE SERVICES OR THE SERVERS THAT MAKE THEM AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
POLIRANK DOES NOT WARRANT OR MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS REGARDING THE USE OR THE RESULTS OF THE USE OF THE SERVICES IN TERMS OF THEIR CORRECTNESS, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE. YOU ASSUME THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR, OR CORRECTION.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL POLIRANK, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, THAT RESULT FROM THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICES.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL POLIRANK BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE, LOSS, OR INJURY RESULTING FROM HACKING, TAMPERING, OR OTHER UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS OR USE OF THE SERVICES OR YOUR ACCOUNT OR THE INFORMATION CONTAINED THEREIN.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, POLIRANK ASSUMES NO LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY: (I) ERRORS, MISTAKES, OR INACCURACIES OF CONTENT; (II) PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SERVICES; (III) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SECURE SERVERS AND/OR ANY AND ALL PERSONAL INFORMATION STORED THEREIN.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule.
If you are a consumer and have your habitual residence in the EU, you additionally enjoy the protection afforded to you by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
Dispute Resolution
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY – IT MAY SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT.
1. Initial Dispute Resolution
We want to address your concerns without resorting to formal legal proceedings. Before filing a claim against PoliRank, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@polirank.com. We'll try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting you via email. If we can't resolve the dispute within thirty (30) days, then either party may initiate formal proceedings.
2. Arbitration Agreement
If informal resolution is unsuccessful, any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, including the breach, termination, or validity thereof, shall be finally resolved by arbitration in accordance with the rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). The arbitration shall take place in London, England, and shall be conducted in the English language.
3. Class Action Waiver
ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. THERE SHALL BE NO RIGHT OR AUTHORITY FOR ANY DISPUTE TO BE ARBITRATED ON A CLASS-ACTION BASIS OR ON BASES INVOLVING DISPUTES BROUGHT IN A PURPORTED REPRESENTATIVE CAPACITY ON BEHALF OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC OR OTHER PERSONS SIMILARLY SITUATED.
4. Opt-Out Procedure
You can opt out of the arbitration and class action waiver provisions set forth above by sending written notice to: legal@polirank.com within thirty (30) days from the date that you first used our Services.
